Cultureplastic Definitely needed some of this in my life. It will take a while to wrap the brain around this one. Which is good. Very good. Favorite track: Seven Crowns and the Oblivion Chain.

Introvertoid This stuff isn't exactly subtle. Think of every tech-death stereotype that you can, and Archspire takes all of them to 11- except the one that tech-death bands are universally bland. Each song on this album is blisteringly fast, impeccably performed and produced, glaringly hyperbolic, yet incredibly catchy. I expected to react to this as I react to Brain Drill- with a jaded "meh"- but ended up loving it. Well done. 8/10 Favorite track: Fathom Infinite Depth.

mmes Easily my favorite album of the year. I'm surprised to see so few people bought it. I saw them at the SST and they completely upstaged The Faceless.
